1 Dream to Reality 01/24/09

I thought I would start sharing with you a little about me and how my days go by.

A few days ago was a good day and everything was looking up for me and everything I had started years ago. I had just gotten off the phone with one of the Sergeants in my unit, we were talking about my retirement packet that was sent up the chain of command. The packet was sent up but I wanted to know if it was sent out to HRC, this is the high headquarters for AGR soldiers in St. Louise but this she didn’t know but she was going to check on it for my; meanwhile she told me to call them. I was with my family when I made the call, packing to leave back to my unit, gave my wife a kiss, hugged the dog and gave them a command like I always do that puts them on alert until I get back, stepped out the door and waved good bye to my neighbors who are always watching while I’m gone. I have to say, my neighbors are truly a blessing because they don’t miss a thing.

It was a long drive back to my unit, about five hours and a lot of time to think about the project and how it had changed over the years but the main focus behind it was still the same, help other in honor of 9/11 victims and the Military who died while serving in the two wars. On my youtube web site, I gotten a lot of hits (views) looking at the project and the combative martial arts videos as well. On the way back I even found a way to set up my camera so I could record myself driving and talking about the project, my goals and a little of a motivational speech for young people if it ever comes to that point. This brainstorming time like all the others gave me motivation to continue working on the project, both my proposals and business plan also to write more on my page here. There are things I know I need to talk about so I can help myself, I’ve tried to get help in the past but that didn’t work or the person I was talking to didn’t feel it was that important, I don’t really know.

About a month ago I also go the chance to talk to my publishing rep at the company I picked for my first book, to my surprise after sending out a lot of photos, I haven’t received a e-mail or answer to my e-mail concerning the photos but I understand I may not be the only person she’s working with. My situation or working relationship with her is not like most because my finances are somewhat starched out to do a lot of things so I have to approach getting my book payment in a little defiantly.
